2021  Personal assistant to a Gentleman in Pembury .

Middle aged man with complex needs, wheel chair bound.

Total assisted care,  Every day is different I assist with family outings, social trips, Crafting and other activities.

 ( I have a certificate in 2021 to peg fed care and administration )

2017  Personal assistant to a young mum in Goudhurst.

Helping with day to day running of a household. Assisting with medication, making sure new stock is ordered in time. Arranging meal prep. Emotional support.  Other duty’s include’s  assisting with her two year old son, getting him dressed and some evening baths, packing his school bag, pack lunch etc.

2014 - 2018  Sole trader Owner/Designer - Barbarosa, Battle , East Sussex 

Sole trader  / Own business - Ladies Boutique in Battle high street. Selling stylish casual, smart clothes, Jewellery and accessories.  

I am a sole trader that runs the shop myself with one employee that comes in on a Monday. I make sure we communicate on a weekly basis, as I value her opinion and we often bounce ideas off each other.  I set weekly task for both of us, make sure any problems are dealt with.  I listen to any feed back given by customers to improve the business. 

Using my skills from my Diploma & Degree , I designed all the visual merchandise. This includes window & Interior displays, In line with the current season. I designed the shops web site. Regularly updating  twitter, facebook, Instagram pages etc.I Work together with suppliers to keep stock levels up. Updating all paper work needed for bookkeeper/accountant.                Continuously solving issues in the day to day running of a business.

2005 - 2009 Senior Carer Goldsborough Home Care
Appointed carer to a range of residents with varying care requirements.
Established strong relationships with the residents and their families to understand the care delivery requirements and medication needs.
Ensured the residents are comfortable and their demands are catered for, also planning residential activities and excursions.
Led, developed and co-ordinated a team of care assistants providing the highest standards of respect and one-to-one care.
Liaised with the wider teams and external personnel including; GP’s, District nurses, and all medical personnel and social services.
Administered medication as well as being involved in updating of all client records and notes. Performed personal care duties including washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with eating.

1993 - 2005 Auxiliary Nurse (Rehab unit) Tonbridge Cottage Hospital

Performed washing and dressing duties.
Served patients their meals and assisting with feeding when necessary.
Helped patients to mobilise and assisting with walking aides.
Carry out minor dressing and wound care.
All cleaning and sanitising duties as well as regular bed making.
Generally assisted with patients' overall comfort.
Monitored the patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight.

1985 - 1992  Sevenoaks Hospital, hospital Road

Working on the male medical ward.

Working to the old system of uniform bed run by Matron.

Daily ward rounds by a doctor and twice weekly consultant rounds.

We would all attend with the doctors/consultant rounds asking questions and learning from them. 

Carry out minor dressing and wound care.

1983 - 1985 Head carer- Sevenoaks Care home

Privately run rest home 8 residents . This was where I stared my carers career.  A small friendly rest home, family run. I was the sole carer for 8 people.

Most of the clients needed  small amounts of assistance in daily tasks.
